The Match has ended in a win for Uganda with 2 Goals and Nigeria 1. The Nigerian goal was scored by John Chukwudi Utaka.Uganda got two goals out of penalties by David Obua and the other by Ibrahim Sekagya.Uganda also got one red card which was given to Kasule leaving the Uganda Cranes with 10 players but still managed to take the match.
Excitement Rocks Kampala as Cranes Sharpen Claws to Grab Super Eagles

Hundreds of football fans have in an extraordinary show of support trekked to Mandela national stadium as the National team – the Cranes take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the Africa Nations Cup qualifier this afternoon.
Thousands of Ugandans blowing whistles, adorning national flags, and chanting slogans have since 7:00am been streaming into Nambole stadium.
The cranes have the hurdle to climb to reach next year’s African Nations Cup finals billed for January 2008 in Ghana.
The Super Eagles team Coach, Berti Vogts, is confident that there will be no crashing at the stick for his players. The first leg, which took place in the rocky city of Abeokuta, Ogun State South West of Nigeria, left much to be desired as Nigeria struggled to secure a lone goal victory notched in by Portsmouth of England lanky striker, Nwankwo Kanu.
The goal gave Nigeria the required three points, but, left a sour taste in the mouth of Nigerian football buffs.
Former Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) and coach of Premier League side, Ocean Boys Football of Bayelsa, Olatunde Disu, believe that the Cranes are a solid side which Nigeria can not afford to toy with.
Disu described the Ugandan side as very fit, strong and good passers of the ball. He added that the goal scored by the Cranes in Abeokuta that was disallowed, psychologically, boosted the morale of the Ugandan side, which now believes they can
Ugandan coach, Lazlo Csaba is confident he can beat Nigeria because he has some Nigerians playing in the Ugandan league and has a good idea of what they are made of.
He says that his players are fit, skillful and strong, so he has also built his team based on these qualities.
