2004 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Maathai

On Tuesday Kenyan police was battling with over 100 protesters in Nairobi city. The Kenyan Government has been trying to increase the number of Ministers from 34 to 44. The opposition (ODM) maintains that the posts should remain 24 or better still be reduced.

''Considering that we are a poor country even 15 ministers are enough but the want to increase the number since they do not intend to serve but acquire wealth,'' said Ms Wangari Maathai during the protests.

However when police turned against the protesters tear-gas did not spare the Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Police dispersing protesters with tear-gas who were demanding that the Kenyan government should put in place and clean & lean cabinet.
