>> ZIMBABWE Now !
On Saturday Zimbabweans will be deciding who the next President will be out of the incumbent Robert Mugabe, MDC's Morgan Tsvangirai and Simba Makoni.
President Robert Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe for the last 28 years but with his former Finance Minister and a senior member of ZANU-PF party opting to run against him could be a challenge in form of a ballot for Mr.Mugabe. The old rival Morgan Tsvangirai is overwhelmed with the support showed to him so far.
This could be made worse if Simba Makoni and Morgan Tsvangirai join forces. A former education minister who left in the 1990's, Ms Fay Chuan and currently supporting Simba Makoni has spoken openly about the possibility of Mugabe loosing the Saturday poll if the voters can turn up in large numbers. Ms Chuan added that regardless of the result Zimbabwe might be faced with violence similar to the one Kenya witnessed after the December poll.
Presidential hopeful Simba Makoni could not place adverts in the media and a four seater helicopter hired by MDC's Morgan Tsvangirai to attend rallies two days before the poll could not take off as the British pilot was arrested.
Meanwhile CNN has been denied permission to cover the week's long parliamentary and presidential elections.
