The event that was held on May 12, 2021 saw several heads of state and other dignitaries attend as President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni took oath for the sixth term in office.
Some VIP guests were spotted seated on uncovered plastic chairs from the pics that were doing the rounds on social media network platforms.
Balaam has always been part of such events and many thought his company had won this tender as well, but the Radio 4 CEO came out to say he was equally surprised with what he saw and apologized on behalf of the Ugandans.
"I have seen this and many more. I want to make it clear I was not involved in Kololo Event planning or sound provision. Whatever happened, I have nothing to do with it. The event was managed by Digida Events."
Balaam adds that this should be a learning experience requiring to do better as a country to avoid the humiliation.
The plastic chairs are not bad per say, but in most cases, they are covered which was not the case, he even suggested how much the same could have cost...
"A nice VIP chair hire cost is Shs 3000 and a seat cover goes for Shs 350."
"Apologies to all humiliated guests on behalf of all Ugandans..." Balaam concluded.
