Pearl of Africa Star Search -Top 50 Contestants

The search for the next Pearl of Africa Star is on and the winner will walk away with 60M cash money, a recording contract, music video production, collaborations with famous artists and destination trips.

The organizers of the Pearl of Africa search, Talent Africa Group, worked closely with the Uganda Musicians Association to review the 1,500 plus audition videos that were received.

That number has now reduced to 50 after a thorough review by a panel of industry experts that included Isaac Rucci, Sarah Zawedde, Aly Alibhai, Bridget Nisha, Julie Erusa, Bryan McKenzie among others.

The search for the next 16 contestants is on and this time round, the public will participate in the voting.

"Pearl of Africa Star Search is a new exciting initiative looking to promote young, fresh and upcoming talent. We are going to all corners of the country searching for our next star whilst exploring our beautiful destination, that is Uganda!" a source noted on their website.

There will be four regional music retreats and tourism challenges to determine the top 12. Elimination shows will kick off in the last week of June 2021.

The judges are Amumpaire Bismac Moses, veteran singer Joanita Kawalya, Cindy Sanyu and Navio.
