Diamond Platnumz bitter with his ranking on the "Forbes richest African musicians" list.
Diamond Platnumz has partnered with Warner Music Group, South Africa
A list purportedly released by Forbes for the richest musicians in Africa has left Diamond Platnumz spitting fire after being ranked number 28 out of the 30 with a net worth of $5 Million.
The list has Senegalese singer and songwriter Youssou N'dour at number 1 with a net worth of $145 Million followed by Akon with $80 Million.
Kenya's Akothee, a musician and businesswoman is on the same list at number 15 with a net worth of $10 Million, our very own Bobi Wine and Chameleone at number 18 and 24 with a net worth of $8 Million and $6 Million respectively.
Using his socials, the Bongo Flava King just lashed out at the Magazine asking them to do their homework to establish what his exact worth is terming it a "Stup!d List."
"FORBES: next time Google me to know what am really worth of, before putting me on your Stup!d Richest African Musicians List!!!"
Diamond Platnumz seems to be wondering why Forbes has not released a list with Chibu Dangote, the only list that we were able to land on is that of African billionaires with Nigerian business magnate, Aliko Dangote, at number one with a net worth of $12.1 Billion a position he has held for ten years in a row.
Diamond Platnumz tweeted about Forbes moments after partnering with Warner Music Group.
"Warner Music has announced a new 360 partnership with East Africa’s number one artist Diamond Platnumz and his leading independent record label WCB-Wasafi. The new deal will see WCB-Wasafi incorporated into Warner Music South Africa and Ziiki Media, while Warner Music’s global network will help propel Diamond Platnumz and the label’s artists to a worldwide audience."
