Music collaboration reality show, Coke Studio Africa, is back. This year's version is a combination of Coke Studio and Coke Studio South Africa raising the number of participating countries from 11 to 16. Season 2017 of Coke Studio will broadcast in over 30 countries across Africa. The production now includes artists from South Africa which was part of Coke Studio South Africa last year. Rwanda, Mauritius, Madagascar, Namibia, Central Africa Republic (CAR) and DRC are the new players this year. Countries that participated in last year's version and are in this one include: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Cameroon and Togo. Ads Some of the renowned names this season include; Ugandan artists Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, Ykee Benda and Sheebah of the Farmer fame, Rwanda's Bruce Melodie, Tanzanian artists; Rayvanny, Izzo Bizness and Nandy. Others include Kenya's Khaligraph Jones & Band Becca, Sami Dan from Ethiopia, Nasty C, Busiswa, Mashayabhuqe from South Africa, Youssoupha from Democratic Republic of Congo, Runtown and Yemi Eberechi Alade from Nigeria. Adding to the list are Dji Tafinha from Angola, Laura Beg from Mauritius, Jah Prayzah and Slapdee from Central Africa Republic, Bisa Kdei and Worlasi from Ghana, Betty G from Ethiopia, Bruce Melodie, Shellsy Baronet & Mr. Bow from Mozambique, Denise from Madagascar and Ozane from Togo, Freeda from Namibia. "Music has always been the heartbeat and soul of Africa, but the internet, social media and creativity is taking artistes from their communities and cities and allowing them to reach an audience across the continent, which is being supported through initiatives such as Coke Studio Africa," An official from Zimbabwe Coca Cola said.
