Miss World Africa with President Museveni and on the right is Miss Uganda on arrival at Entebbe International Airport
The current Miss Uganda who also won the Miss World Africa in the just concluded Miss World contest in Sanya, China is back in the country.
Quiin Abenakyo arrived yesterday aboard an Emirates flight at 1:30PM, the 22 year old was later taken to State House in Entebbe to meet President Museveni who was earlier in the day launching the flyover project in Nakivubo.
Quiin was received by the State Minister of Tourism Hon. Kiwanda Godfrey Suubi and former Lands Minister Hon. Daud Migereko among others, she returned through the VIP arrival lounge.
"Thank you so much for the love and support, thank you for voting, thank you for being with me during my journey at the Miss World, it was overwhelming."
"I am glad I was able to do this for my country, For Gold and My Country," Quiin said while at Entebbe International Airport.
Quiin was driven out of the airport in a black Lexus convertible to State House, which is not very far from the airport.
At State House, the President was impressed with Quiin Abenakyo who was way taller than him describing her as a tall, beautiful Musoga, though his main concern was her hair.
The number one citizen encouraged Abenakyo to keep her natural Africa hair saying that African beauty has to be showcased in its natural form.
"Abenakyo is a true definition of beauty coupled with brains. She also told me she is an advocate of responsible living among young people. She is specifically focusing on helping young girls lead responsible, healthy lifestyles." He added.
He did not forget Quiin's parents Mr. Charles Sembera and Ms Alice Kyamuresire for a job well done.
"I must commend Abenakyo's parents for raising her with values. Many young people today rush into promiscuity and ruin their lives, yet a little patience and completing school would give them a foundation on which to enjoy the rest of their lives with their spouses."
"Again, I congratulate Muzukulu Abenakyo on this feat. Going forward, the government will support the Miss Uganda Foundation," President Museveni concluded.
