Desire Luzinda pledges her support for born again, Jackie ChandiruI will be there for you, Desire Luzinda, tells Jackie Chandiru. Inset is the singer giving her life to God 05 Dec 2018 11:03 AM @ugandaonline Ex Blu3 star, Jackie Chandiru, of the Gold Digger fame has been on drug addiction therapy for close to two years and in June this year, she was discharged. Chandiru did a collaboration song with Mesach Semakula as a way of a comeback, but over the weekend, the singer gave her life to God. Hello, my name is Jackie Chandiru, I am a musician and I am very glad to be here today to thank God for giving me a second chance at life after I went through a very dark time. "Up to today, I can’t believe I am still alive and whatever chance I have, I will thank God." It was at this point that Pastor Robert Kayanja wanted to know if she still sings to which Jackie said; Yes, And the obvious followed. |
Sponsored | "Can you sing for us a song?," Kayanja asked. Jackie did not disappoint when she did a line off Hillsong United's 'Awesome God' clearly bringing out the vocals in her. "Our God is an awesome God he reigns "You said that God gave you a second chance to live? What are you going to do with it?" The Church leader asked. "I am going to tell everybody that he lives, and because he lives, I live," Jackie Chandiru noted. Desire Luzinda offered emotional support and encouragement. "The other day I saw #Jackiechandiru on 77Dogs giving her life to Christ and while many people focused on what she looked like, I was amazed by her dauntlessness to rise above and fight again. There is no greater joy than that of falling and rising up. To anyone going through a tough time, it does not matter how many times you fall but how you rise up, pick up the pieces and fight is all that matters. The world will scorn you, but look to a brighter picture. It is well Jackie and may the God that led you to this decision lead you through it all." |
Desire Luzinda concludes; "If you ever need someone to talk to, a friend I will be right at your heel." Papa Cidy and Qute Kaye are some of the artists who recently became born-again. You May Also Like
