Stop asking me when I'll get married - Eddy KenzoDecember 14, 2018, 3:47 PM @ugandaonline Eddy Kenzo was a guest artist on the NTV Mwasuze Mutya program talking about why he is not in a hurry to marry "This business of people bothering me with when I'm getting married should stop.." Eddy Kenzo was the guest artist on NTV's Mwasuze Mutya program with Faridah Nakazibwe as the show host, the Sitya Loss singer talked about quite a number of things to do with his music, why he is not in a hurry to marry and why he thinks fellow artists don't like him. "I am the most hated artist in the industry. They didn't give me time, they never cared about me and they ignored me." "When they ignored me, I decided to sing and 'Stamina' was the song that I released, they still laughed at me and also, rebuked my fashion sense too." And now, I have made it, but the very people who were laughing at me have resorted to fighting me. |
Sponsored | What do you attribute your success to? "So many people can sing and they have very good voices out there, but you need to be creative as well and that is how I have made it." My creativity can be seen from when I talk about something, it will become the catchword for example; Stamina, Kidima, Sitya Loss among others. The same creativity has seen My Big Talent Crew transform into a Record Label signing new artists. Tell us about your BET award? "I didn't even see the nomination coming, but at the same time, I was one of the best selling African artistes at the time. When and Where did you meet Rema Namakula? "Issues to do with Rema are very sensitive, I would request we leave that topic and talk about something else." "But so you know, I have only 2 children, Mya and Aamaal so if I died now, they should not come telling you that I have more children out there, they do not exist." When are you getting married? "I don't know, but what you should know is that I am a very poor man. I am building my empire and trying to make sure that my children don't suffer. I have the Eddy Kenzo Foundation, Eddy Kenzo Academy with at least 45 children, so I have to work hard for all these people." "So this business of people bothering me with when I'm getting married should stop, people should let me be and I pursue my dreams, when the time is right, I will bring you the person and tell you that this is the person I want to marry, don't decide for me just because that is the person you want me to marry." Eddy Kenzo will early next year celebrate the 10 years of Eddy Kenzo at Serena Hotel. |
