Bobi Wine and his fans have been dealt with another blow after learning that the November 9, 2018 date that had been earmarked for the Kyarenga Concert has also been cancelled.

Bobi Wine and the concert promoter, Emma Promotionz, have been advised to look for an alternative venue.

The cancellation follows serious concerns raised by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) over an impeding Uganda Cranes game on November 16, 2018.

It should be recalled that the original date for the Kyarenga concert was today, October 20, but that was not possible as the venue, Mandela National Stadium, had been booked for a wedding.

According to a letter dated Oct 17 signed by Mr. Edgar Watson Suubi, it partly states that Mandela National Stadium is under a "red flag" and the Uganda Cranes match due for Cape Verde may be put off by CAF which will henceforth result to Uganda's failure to qualify for the finals of AFCON Camerooon-2019 Finals.

Based on the above, Mandela National Stadium was left with no choice, but to take appropriate action.

"In light of the above stated matters coupled with the Mandela National Stadium's mandate "To promote sports in Uganda", we regret to inform you that the Stadium shall not be able to host your event as tentatively booked. You are therefore advised to seek for an alternative," Jamil Sewanyana Mpagi, the Managing Director for Mandela National Stadium noted.Bobi Wine through his Facebook profile has expressed his dissatisfaction and regarding the concert, this was his take;

"The good news is that we are actively looking at different options and will communicate very soon. What I know is that whether Namboole or not, we shall hold the KYARENGA album launch pretty soon," Bobi Wine concluded.
