For his safety, fans and family, Bebe Cool has taken a break from  public performances until further notice

The month of August kicked off very well for Bebe Cool when he held his Golden Heart concert at Kololo Independence Grounds, but a month later, Bebe Cool is taking a musical break against his will and it is not clear when he will resume with performances.

Looking at what transpired on August 31, two days after Bobi Wine had been released, it is only fair that Bebe Cool takes a break because the scenes at the Lugogo Cricket Oval were certainly not pleasant scenes as he was pelted with bottles stuffed with all sorts of liquids and their reason for doing this was because he (Bebe) does not stand with them on their 'People Power' campaigns.

And when he came out to comment on the Lugogo saga, the Kamwako singer said that he will not be intimidated. He also wondered how no one was able to tell that Bobi Wine's use of crutches appeared to be strange considering that he was clad in heavy boots.

On September 2, using his social media portfolios, Bebe Cool came out to note that after 20 years in the music business, he  had made a great contribution to the development of the Ugandan, East African & African entertainment industry.

Bebe also talks about how proud he is to see several young musicians, comedians, instrumentalists and promoters making a fine living out of the entertainment industry.

However, following the unfortunate scenes at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, Bebe is taking a break as he notes;

"For the last few weeks, I had chosen silence as a means to exercise my tolerance for the political events that are currently transpiring in the country."

"Unfortunately, while at a performance last Friday (August 31), I was pelted with bottles and stones by a group of people purportedly because I do not subscribe to their political beliefs."

"For the safety of myself, family, friends and fans, I regrettably would like to announce that I will not be making any public performances until further notice."

"My prayer is that the current situation in our beloved country doesn't deteriorate into an unfortunate state. For God and my Country."
