If we are talking artists who have had a very good year, endless hits, huge growing fan base, not fast rising anymore, but a well established artist, then, John Kasadha aka John Blaq would fit that description.

Not even a US based promoter who tried to frustrate his efforts by having his visa cancelled could bring him down, authorities advised him that, all applications are considered on their individual merit, so having a one rejection or cancellation does not affect future applications and as such, he has promised his US fans that he will be in their hood this coming May.

Talking about hits, everything he touched turned into Gold, including Nekwatako, his very latest which is equally dominating the airwaves.

In his Nekwatako song, Mr. Aya Bass says that if you want to rub shoulders with celebrities at an event, then you have to talk to him nicely because he has the pass to let you just do that.

Ebyalagirwa, Mama Bulamu, Do Dat, Obubadi, Makanika, Tukwatagane, Replace Me and Romantic among others, are some of John Blaq's hits that have kept his fans loving him, his deep voice is one of a kind, it comes as an extra and the way he effortlessly sings just brings more fans to his camp.

"My type of music is called the drunken style and it’s a bit versatile," he noted in one interview.

His song titles are chosen carefully that they always become the slang word, and at all introduction ceremonies, very rarely won't they talk about his music or use his song titles to drive a point home.

For an artist who started singing less than three years back, that is by all standards good progress. In March last year, he acquired his first wheel, a Toyota Harrier commonly known as Kawundo and now, he has added a Hiace Van that he can use with his crew especially for his upcountry tours.

Tonight, you can catch John Blaq performing live at the Comedy store in Lugogo alongside Jose Chameleone, entry fee is 20k.
