The Gere video that was released two days back has over 2million YouTube views making Tanasha Donna the first African woman to hit 1 million views in 14 hours, but the video has been met with controversy...
Similar video concepts detected in the Brisa video (Top) and the Gere video (Bottom)
Diamond Platnumz and Tanasha Donna released their collaboration song two days back, it is number 9 on Trending and currently has 2,213,829 views. It is safe to say that it has received a million views per day.
The song has 12,079 comments though, as opposed to other songs where Swahili and English could dominate the comments section, Portuguese comments note that the video concept is that of Brisa by Iza.
In Tanasha Donna and Diamond Platnumz Gere video, many scenes that feature in the Brisa video are seen in the Gere video too, and that is not all, Tanasha and her video vixens are clad in costumes and red berets like it is the case in Iza's video.
Matters are made worse when the same color and fashion of the costumes is seen in both videos leaving netizens very busy on their keyboards...
Short of that the audio in both songs is different as Gere is delivered in Swahili and English making it very different from Brisa except for the video concept.
In the song, Tanasha tells Diamond that she will be very disappointed if he leaves her alone in the cold.
This is exactly what Diamond does especially with his baby mama's. He featured Hamisa Mobetto on Salome, featured Zari on Iyena, featured Werma on Moyo Wangu and now, done Gere with his current beau Tanasha Donna.
Meanwhile, the Brisa video from which the Gere video concept was adapted has 83,326,304 views in less than a year.
It was uploaded on YouTube on April 18, 2019, it has 38,354 comments.
