This is the first version under these unprecedented times, the housemates will not only be tested for the usual sicknesses, but they will have to be free from COVID-19 as well.

It is now left to be seen how the housemates will behave in the BBNaija season 5 house with masks, hand washing and social distancing that seems to be the norm, but now that they will be enclosed and no one for the outside world will be allowed to mix with them, they could end up interacting freely.

The reality TV show will be on DSTV channel 29 and GOtv channel 29.

Big Brother Naija season 4 was won by Mercy Eke, a video vixen, an ambassador and businesswoman, it was the first time ever that BBNaija was being won by a female housemate.

Mike Edwards, a CEO and an athlete from Manchester was the runner-up. Other housemates in that season that really left a mark were none other than Khafi Kareem, a police officer from London, Omashola, Seyi Frodd and Tacha among others.


20 housemates will be tussling it out for the top prize in the 10 weeks in the lockdown house which has a hair salon among others.
