The NTV Style Project show host Sheila Gashumba over the weekend went to Garden City to carry out some errands only to bump into a Uganda People's Defense Force officer (UPDF) who was trying to have a conversation with her as she explains;

"A UPDF soldier walks up to me trying to have a conversation with me, asking me my name and where I work from and because I don’t give him my attention, he starts telling me how he can arrest me for wearing a skirt."

"Who deployed UPDF to enforce fashion standards?" Sheila asked her followers.

Interestingly, Sheila had taken a pic of the soldier in the parking lot, which she used to caption her words, unfortunately, she did not share the clothes she was putting on that day that got the officer so angry, may be her followers would be able to advise if it was appropriate or otherwise.

Meanwhile, the officer who happens to be using Facebook was tagged in Sheila's post, he came out all guns blazing;

The Africell Ambassador equally had it rough with her fans, they all seemed to agree with the officer; these are just a few of the comments:

"Afande was keeping law and order, so next time try to listen to him, obey dressing rules before leaving your home."

"You should be thankful he tried to talk to you. Others will simply look on and feel sorry for your parents."

"For me, I want to know how you were dressed. Why deny us."
