Fresh Kid meeting Minister Nakiwala Kiyingi early in the day, he came clad in his uniform

Patrick Ssenyonjo aka Fresh Kid has today met Minister Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi at her offices in Kampala. The young rapper came with his parents, teacher and manager to agree on how he will juggle his studies and music going forward.

Fresh Kid came being cruised in a white tinted Toyota Wish, his manager opened the door for him as his mom watched the proceedings with a beaming smile.

Lots of Boda-Boda riders followed them all the way just to see the young rapper who has made headlines in the last couple of days.

This is coming, days after the Minister demanded that the 'Banteeka' singer should halt his performances and go back to school, but the seven-year-old just hit the studio and released an instant hit dubbed 'Bambi' which means please and in the song, the young artist signed to De Texas crew was pleading with the minister to allow him sing as his family literally depended on him.

This irked the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs;

"This is a serious burden you are putting on this child, that you continue having more children while he takes care of the whole family."

"My son is trending lately, so if he can perform at any given show, we are sure of getting some good money," Fresh Kid's father Paul Mutabazi added.

The manager was also put to task to explain the circumstances under which he was operating; he confirmed that he was doing everything possible to see to it that Fresh Kid is not exploited.

"Government has no intention at all of stopping him from developing his talent, it is good not only for the parents, but also for the country. If this child grows up and develops some good career in music, this child will earn money and the government would get taxes from him, but let’s do it in a very organized manner and within the law," Gender Ministry Permanent Secretary Pius Bigirimana said.

"Let him go to school and get academic education and over the weekend he can perform while developing his music career, but he needs to be guided and should not take alcohol, he should not be abused," Pius Bigirimana added..

"This child should come out of all this as the winner, he should not be exploited and you should follow the laws as clearly laid down," Minister Nakiwala noted.

If you've watched some of Fresh Kid's interviews, he has a way he plays with his eyes, something that his mother said was perfectly okay and not linked to drugs as some were speculating.

"That is how he was born," Madrine Namata, Fresh Kid's mother confirmed. She was armed with his pics at 3 months just to confirm that he had no problem with his eyes.

His manager confirmed that the Bambi video will be released tomorrow.

Meanwhile, with the Easter holiday around the corner, Fresh Kid is going to be very busy from one gig to the other and he has to perform during the day before paving the way for the big artists that will perform late in the night.
