Fresh Kid's Dubai and Abu Dhabi shows hang in the balance after the cancellation of the US show
Young rapper, Patrick Ssenyonjo, aka Fresh Kid has been faced with yet another battle that leaves his UAE shows slated for a few days to hang in the balance after the USA show being cancelled.
Fresh Kid is the main performer at the cultural event that will be going down in Dubai at Delmon Boutique, Hotel Deira on July 7. It is a Comedy, Music, Dance and Drama show that will also be held in Abu Dhabi the following day.
Fresh Kid will share the stage with, Stainless, a Dubai based artist. The event is being organized by DJ Rham who has sponsored the event offered two air tickets, one for the manager and one for Fresh Kid.
The trouble is that Fresh Kid's dad wants to come along which requires an extra ticket something that has left the parties concerned at loggerheads.
"My name is DJ Rham of Rham events, the organizer of the event that will see Fresh Kid perform in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on July 7 and July 8 respectively."
"I am having issues with Fresh Kid's dad because while getting into this deal, I got in touch with Fresh Kid's manager, Francis Kamoga and we had kind of settled everything, that was when the young rapper's parents were getting along."
"I have invested heavily bought the two tickets, worked on the two visas and now, Fresh Kid's dad is tagging along. I would advise that he keeps on the parental side while the manager does plays his role too."
"If they continue like this, unfortunately, it will be Fresh Kid to lose out and his talent will be buried just like that."
DJ Rham concludes;
"The fans are insisting that if Fresh Kid's dad comes along, they will snub the event."
This was coming at the time when Fresh Kid's dad had asked the manager to step aside so he can handle the affairs of his child, but little did he have a clue of how his seven-year-old son has gotten to where he is not forgetting that, he had actually separated with the mom.
Fresh Kid was supposed to be performing in the USA, but because the dad insisted on tagging along, the promoter was left with no choice, but to cancel. He was supposed to travel on July 7.
In a bid to solve all this, the respective parties signed a new contract that factored in the parents on the issue of earnings.
In the new contract, Manager Francis takes 20% of the proceeds, 10 to the mother, 20 to the father, 30 to De Texas Management and balance thereof which is 20% is banked on Fresh Kid's bank account.
In light of all this, Fresh Kid has released his latest rap dubbed; Am a Victim.
In the song, he says a prayer to the Lord to help him fight his latest problems that involve his dad
Fresh Kid will this Saturday be in Jinja at Kakindu Stadium for the Purple Party and on Sunday, he will be performing live at the Uganda Museum for the DJ Nimrod White Party.
