Producer Washington evicted for defaulting on rentThe producer's landlord, Grace Kansiime, has taken all his property including rugs to recover the four months rent arrears. 28 Sep 2018 4:55 PM @ugandaonline All is not well for the top music producer, David Erangit, aka Washington after court bailiffs, yesterday, loaded all his property onto two trucks. Washington who has over 20 years experience in the music industry will now have to raise over Shs 4million to get his items back. The exercise that was closely supervised by Uganda police was carried out yesterday. According to documents from the court, Washington had defaulted on 5 months rent amounting to Shs 2,750,000/- plus over 850,000/- in expected repairs and utilities. |

As a way of recovering the said amount, Washington's property was valued at about Shs 3.9 with carpets (rugs) fetching 50k, his plasma TV 200k which was the same amount that was valued for his window curtains. Many have attributed this to the late Moze Radio who was working closely with producer, Washington to release non stop hits, but following his demise earlier this year, times are hard. Others affiliated to the fallen singer are still battling with court cases as a result of debts with the Goodlyfe Manager, Chagga, being arrested again, months after being released on bail. |
