Zuchu, Fik Fameica, Omah Lay are artists to look out for in 2021

The BBC has come out with a list of ten artists to look out for in the year 2021 looking at who is innovating in terms of sound and style and our very own Fik Fameica featured on that list.
The list also tackles artists who are exploring new genres.

Fik Fameica on BBC's top ten list of artists to look out for in the year 2021
According to the BBC;
"Fik Fameica, also known as Fresh Boy, is one of the most interesting rappers coming out of East Africa right now.
The rapper made his first appearance on the music scene in late 2017 with the single Kutama."
"The 24-year-old steers away from typical mainstream Ugandan music and experiments with his sound that has been influenced by reggae.
Fik Fameica is breaking divisions and connecting with many young people through his music and has already scored collaborations with well known artists from across Africa, including Patoranking, Vanessa Mdee and Joeboy."
Fik Fameica is behind songs like Buligita, Omu Bwati, Gwe Abisobola, Tonsukuma, Byenyenya, Sconto, Okikolotya and Binji featuring Lydia Jazmine.
The other artists on the top ten artists set to make a bigger impression in the year 2021 are;
Nigeria's Omah Lay, who performed in Uganda recently only to be locked up for a few hours for breaching coronavirus regulations.
Elaine from South Africa with her hit song You're the one makes her a force to reckon with, she sings mostly about love and relationships.
Gaz Mawete from DRC with his Olingi Nini song appeared on the list. He has collaborated with Fally Ipupa.
Kabza De Small, the DJ and record producer also tagged as the King of Amapiano has been around since 2016 was last year nominated in the MTV Europe's Best African Act, he is one to look out for according to the BBC.
Kidi from Ghana, Sha Sha from Zimbabwe, Soraia Ramos from Cape Verde, Tems from Nigeria and Zuchu from neighboring Tanzania.
