The highlight of the moment was in his acceptance speech when he recognized the efforts of his mom and dad having to do whatever they did to give birth to him. This particular line got his mom unawares and his sister covering her face wondering what is it that he had just said on the OSCAR's stage. Kaluuya had this to say in his acceptance speech; "You've got to celebrate life, man, we are breathing, we are walking it is incredible, it is incredible. My mom, My Dad had (....) and I am here it is incredible, it is amazing and I'm here.,..I'm so happy to be alive, I'm going to celebrate that tonight." |
