Etania Mutoni, the 27-year-old Ugandan dancer, DJ, TV host, MC, and influencer, has captivated audiences with her boundless charisma. Fans are eager to pay for her performances, especially her upcoming ‘Becoming Life of the Party’ concert on April 4, which will mark a historic first for a female DJ in Uganda.
Her career took off in Kampala’s nightlife scene while working as a hostess for events company Muchachos. There, she mastered reading crowds, holding spaces, and creating electric atmospheres that blend personal energy with music.
The COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 propelled her further. With clubs shut, she joined NTV’s Dance Party, a Saturday night hit that became a national escape. Her authentic style—biker shorts, sneakers, and bold confidence—lit up screens, drawing viewers desperate for fun amid restrictions.
This exposure led to brand deals, including her role as Smirnoff ambassador and a staple at Smirnoff Fiesta events. Etania credits the gig for letting her shine as herself, evolving from high-energy MC to skilled DJ embodying the ‘We Do We’ spirit of self-expression.
For her, this concert is a triumph for a supportive community that fueled her rise.
