The Palestine Football Association (PFA) announced the cancellation of its senior national team’s friendly matches in Morocco, scheduled against Benin on March 27 and Mauritania on March 31.

These games were part of preparations for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, under coach Ihab Abu Jazar.

The PFA cited severe regional travel disruptions following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, which closed major Gulf airports and halted air traffic through key hubs.

“The Palestinian Football Association has announced that the senior national team will be unable to participate in the friendly training camp hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco,” the statement read, emphasizing player safety as the top priority.

Most players, based in Gulf leagues, face significant travel challenges amid the current conditions.

Football activities across the region have been broadly affected.
