Veteran Ugandan artist King Micheal has taken a swipe at the current crop of musicians, calling them naive in how they handle industry beefs.

With almost 30 years in the game, he contrasts today’s conflicts with the iconic rivalries of the Big Three—Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Bebe Cool.

King Micheal explains that those past clashes were cleverly orchestrated: they’d spark media buzz, drop tracks, and cap it off with a battle, turning rivalry into revenue.

In contrast, he says modern artists fight just for fleeting social media fame, missing out on real career-boosting opportunities.

“These musicians are naive, they fight for popularity,” he noted, highlighting the lack of strategy in today’s scene.
