Amon Bwambale, the self-proclaimed ‘Little Tiger,’ delivered a flawless bogey-free 68 net to force a playoff with professional golfer Grace Kasango in the latest Kilelesi Golf Series at Uganda Golf Club.

Kasango, a towering six-footer, bounced back from a double bogey on the first hole with six birdies and an eagle on the par-5 fifth, also carding a 68. The duo tied after the first playoff on holes 12, 17, and 18, leading to sudden-death on hole 12.

Despite Bwambale’s stroke advantage on the stroke index 1 hole, Kasango’s tee shot found the water while Bwambale struck the fairway and green in regulation, securing the win.

Bwambale pocketed Shs1m, with Kasango taking Shs750,000. Kasango praised her opponent’s putting, noting her own strong recovery to finish four-under.

Mark Muhumuza, Dennis Kabalila, and David Kamulindwa tied for third at 69, each receiving Shs416,000.

Launched two years ago, the Kilelesi series has become a top PRO-AM event in Uganda, with plans to rotate across courses to challenge players on varied terrains.
