Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC), the 2014 champions, stunned undefeated regular season leaders KCB-Nkumba to advance to the National Volleyball League (NVL) finals. After losing Game One 3-2, VVC leveled the semifinal series with a dominant 3-0 win in Game Two.

In the crucial Game Three at Old Kampala Arena, VVC seized control early, taking the first set 25-20. Nkumba fought back to win the second 25-17, but VVC dominated the third and fourth sets, both 25-20, finishing with a 3-1 match victory.

Hadijah Acelun, a former Nkumba player, shone as VVC’s setter, delivering precise feeds to top scorer Ketty Aluka. VVC’s defense neutralized Nkumba’s middle blockers Nancy Chebet and Jennifer Alungat through strong passing and error-forcing plays.

Nkumba had won all 18 regular season games plus Game One, extending their streak to 19, but couldn’t recover from their first loss. VVC, who entered as the fourth seed, now faces KCCA in the finals—their first appearance since 2022.
