Rustlers Steal 200 Cattle in Yumbe Raid

Yumbe district has suffered a significant loss after rustlers targeted a cattle kraal late last Tuesday night. Armed assailants struck under the cover of darkness, driving away approximately 200 head of cattle.

Local authorities confirmed the raid, noting that the gunmen operated swiftly and escaped before security forces could respond. No casualties were reported, but the theft has left herders devastated.

Cattle rustling remains a persistent threat in northern Uganda, often involving armed groups from neighboring areas. Community leaders are calling for enhanced patrols and better security measures to protect livestock.
