Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) has launched a school train service at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono, marking the start of a broader rollout.
The initiative targets easing student transport while testing systems for large-scale movement, particularly with AFCON 2027 on the horizon.
URC officials noted that lessons from school trials will prepare for transporting fans across the region during the tournament.
Plans are underway to expand the service to other schools outside Mukono soon.
