Hellen Seku Mobilizes 600,000 Patriots for Gen. Muhoozi's Birthday Run

Commissioner Hellen Seku of the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps (NSPC) has called upon more than 600,000 trained patriots across Uganda to join the upcoming birthday run in honor of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Speaking at the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) offices in Kampala, Seku highlighted the strong alignment between the NSPC and PLU, emphasizing shared values of patriotism, national unity, and dedication to service. She demonstrated her support by purchasing run kits for the event.

Seku praised the initiative, noting its focus extends beyond a simple birthday celebration to encompass charitable causes, public health, and fostering national unity. She stated that the run aims to improve physical well-being while also making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable communities.

“This run will not only improve our physical well-being but also touch people’s lives,” Seku remarked. “We are promoting good health, hope, and charity so that Ugandans remember leaders who care for others and take action to support them.”

She urged all trained patriots nationwide to actively participate, recognizing their crucial role in advancing national values. Seku also commended the government and security leadership, including Gen. Kainerugaba, for maintaining peace and security, which creates a stable environment for such national undertakings.

The event is expected to take place at Kololo Independence Grounds and is envisioned as a significant gathering promoting solidarity, patriotism, and collective responsibility among Ugandans. Seku encouraged continued engagement beyond the run to foster a culture of care and unity.
