King Zaale Missing After Alleged Abduction by Armed Men in Kampala

Upcoming Ugandan musician King Zaale has vanished after an alleged arrest by armed individuals in Kamwokya, Kampala on Tuesday. The dancehall performer, known for his roots in the Firebase music crew tied to Bobi Wine, was reportedly taken amid unclear circumstances connected to his affiliation with the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Eyewitnesses described a dramatic scene where men in a drone vehicle surrounded Zaale’s car, held him at gunpoint, and whisked him away to an undisclosed location. Friends and fellow artists are voicing alarm, urging authorities for his swift release and details on his status.

NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya addressed the matter in an online statement, labeling it a brazen act of lawlessness. “We have been informed of the violent abduction of our brother, King Zaale, from Kamwokya,” he noted, highlighting the ongoing concerns over such incidents.
