Mukalazi Kizito Hailed as Visionary Educator and Job Creator After Passing
The proprietor of Hormisdallen Nursery and Primary Schools, Mukalazi Kizito, has been eulogised as a pioneering educator, entrepreneur, and key contributor to Uganda's education sector following his death on Friday after a prolonged illness. Mukalazi Kizito, founder of Hormisdallen Nursery and Primary Schools, passed away last Friday after battling a long illness, as confirmed by the school’s headteacher, Robert Semakula, at the Kamwokya branch.
State Minister for Primary Education, Dr. Joyce Kaducu, praised him as a visionary educator and entrepreneur whose work transformed Uganda’s education landscape. She called him a pillar of development and a hero for job creation and shaping young minds.
Semakula remembered Mukalazi as humble, hardworking, and systematic, always focused on delivering quality education through structured targets. His dedication will be deeply missed in the education community.
Hormisdallen Schools, established by Mukalazi in 1986, operate as private mixed day and boarding institutions with branches in Kamwokya (headquarters), Kyebando, Gayaza, and Kitezi.
A memorial service was held on Monday at Christian Focus Center in Mengo, Kisenyi, with burial scheduled for April 28 at his ancestral home in Kagembe, Semuto.
