Museveni Joyfully Marks Granddaughter Sasi Karugire's Traditional Wedding

President Yoweri Museveni celebrated the traditional kuhingira ceremony of his granddaughter, Sasi Karugire, over the weekend. Sasi, daughter of Natasha Museveni Karugire and Edwin Karugire, married the son of Lt. Gen. Sam Kavuma, known as Tash.

In a heartfelt message, Museveni thanked God for granting him and his wife, Maama Janet, a strong family despite Uganda’s past turmoil. He noted his joy in seeing his children build their own families and now witnessing Sasi’s union.

The president emphasized faith’s importance, stating that trusting in God leads to personal milestones like this marriage. ‘It teaches me that when you do God’s work, He will do yours,’ he remarked.
