Mukono district is set to buzz with excitement as the Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) launches its Ball Games I at Seroma Christian High School. The event, running until May 8, will feature 11 disciplines and attract at least 100 schools competing for national titles and qualification to the Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (Feasssa) Games in August.

Seroma Christian High School serves as the primary venue, accommodating girls’ teams and hosting basketball for U-20 and U-17 categories, badminton, and table tennis. Nearby partners include Uganda Christian University (UCU) for basketball, tennis, U-17 handball, and volleyball; Namilyango College for rugby 15s, hockey, and boys’ training in basketball, volleyball, and tennis; and Our Lady of Africa SS for U-17 netball.

Girls’ football boasts the widest spread of venues, including Seroma, Seeta University, UCU, Seeta High School Mbalala, Seeta High School A-Level Campus, Nakisunga Stadium, Bishops Secondary School, Our Lady of Africa, Bishops West Primary School, Hilton High School, St Thereza Girls Primary School, Bishops East Primary School, and Namilyango Boys Primary School. Venues are conveniently located between 20 meters and eight kilometers apart despite the district’s busy traffic.

Schools underwent verification processes upon arrival at Seroma, marking the official start of the battle for supremacy.
