Africana and UCAA Set for CSN Netball Final Rematch at Luzira

Hotel Africana and UCAA are poised for a highly anticipated rematch in the CSN netball final on May 31 at Maroons Stadium in Luzira. This is the same venue where Africana crushed UCAA 25-6 last year, following a forfeited first final due to result disagreements.
The tournament faced delays on April 26 at Jeph International University in Butabika over disputes involving ‘mercenaries,’ pushing the semifinals, third-place playoff, and final to the next date.
Both teams powered through the knockout stages with dominant performances. Africana defended their title by shutting out Old Mutual Insurance 17-0, edging UETCL 10-6, and overwhelming Royal van Zanten 23-0 in the quarterfinals. They then overcame DTB 13-8 in the semifinal after a tied first half.
UCAA matched the intensity, defeating Quality Chemical Industries 11-5, UBOS 12-8, and Movit 15-6 en route to the quarters. In the semifinal, they narrowly beat Centenary Bank 9-5.
UCAA’s goal defender Henry Mukenya reflected on last year’s loss, vowing improvement, and now the team has another shot at revenge.
The third-place playoff pits Centenary Bank against DTB.
