GM Sugar and Tornado Bees Strengthen Lead in Gold Division Cricket League

Matchday 10 of the Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League saw GM Sugar and Tornado Bees solidify their positions at the top of the Gold Division with convincing wins.

GM Sugar bowled out Mukono Warriors for a mere 72 runs, with Vinitkumar Chhaganbhai Patel claiming an impressive 7 wickets for 19 runs. Henry Ssenyondo and Siraje Nsubuga provided strong support, allowing GM Sugar to chase the target calmly at 73 for 5 wickets. This victory brings them to six points from four matches, matching leaders Kutchi Tigers.

In Entebbe, Tornado Bees restricted Rounders to 124, powered by Hamid Munigwa’s five-wicket haul. Anas Baig’s unbeaten 67 guided the Bees to 128 for 2, securing an eight-wicket win and also six points, intensifying the race at the top.

The Silver Division thriller at Serenity Oval saw SKLPS chase 134 against Wanderers. After slumping to 36 for 5, Navin Pindoria, Bhavesh Hirani, and Vishal Bandheri steered them to 137 for 8, winning by two wickets and earning four points from four games.

Gold Division leaders Kutchi Tigers hold six points from three matches, with GM Sugar and Tornado Bees close behind. Ismaili Community CC lead Silver with 10 points from five.
