Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta described the atmosphere as electric after his team clinched a semi-final triumph against Atletico Madrid, reaching the Champions League final for just the second time ever.

Captain Bukayo Saka’s close-range finish right before the break, paired with Arsenal’s ninth shutout in the competition, sealed a 2-1 aggregate victory. The Gunners will now meet either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in Budapest on May 30.

Arteta, who dashed onto the pitch to embrace his players and rally the fans, expressed immense pride. “I cannot be happier or prouder for everyone at this club,” he said, highlighting the shared ambition driving the team.

The win equalled Arsenal’s all-time record of 41 victories in a single season, a mark from 1970-71. Arteta noted a surge in energy and belief, especially after recent results turned their campaign around.

Midfielder Declan Rice echoed the sentiment, stating the side had rediscovered their rhythm. He stressed ongoing progress and eyed their key Premier League clash with West Ham United this weekend.
