Paris Saint-Germain returns to Munich’s Allianz Arena for the Champions League semi-final second leg, carrying a narrow 5-4 advantage after a thrilling first-leg encounter at home.

The venue holds special significance, as it was here last May that PSG clinched their first-ever Champions League title with a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan.

Manager Luis Enrique, speaking to reporters on Tuesday, expressed delight at revisiting the stadium. He highlighted not only PSG’s recent success but also his Barcelona side’s triumph over Bayern in the semi-finals a decade ago, en route to their own Champions League win.

“We have brilliant memories here,” Enrique said, noting the pleasure of recalling last year’s feats and his past Barcelona experience as key sources of motivation.

The first leg was a rollercoaster, with PSG trailing before surging to a 5-2 lead, only for Bayern to claw back to one goal behind. Enrique anticipates another high-octane battle.

“Neither team accepts the other is better,” he remarked, expecting the second leg to mirror the first leg’s intensity despite the away setting and slim lead.

PSG has no plans to sit back and defend. “We try to win every game,” Enrique affirmed, emphasizing their attacking mentality and readiness to score while countering Bayern’s threat.
