Police in Amolatar District have apprehended a 30-year-old woman accused of sexually defiling a 13-year-old Senior One student. The incident reportedly occurred after the woman allegedly held the boy captive in her home for a fortnight.
District Police Commander Mr. John Mafabi stated that the suspect is believed to have lured the student, who was assisting his father at a local butchery, into her residence at Alemere Trading Centre in Awelo Sub-county. The boy was allegedly kept there until May 12, 2026, when he was discovered.
The victim, a student at Akalo Secondary School in Kole District, had been reported missing by his concerned parents. According to Mr. Mafabi, the parents, following a tip, located their son at the suspect’s house and forcefully entered. They reportedly found the boy concealed among clothes as the suspect attempted to flee.
A case of defilement has been registered under SD Ref: 23/12/05/2026. Investigations are ongoing, with both the suspect and the victim undergoing medical examinations.
The suspect had reportedly moved to Awelo Sub-county with her husband, a security guard, before establishing a tailoring business in Alemere Trading Centre.
