FUFA president Moses Magogo has addressed speculation surrounding his tenure, asserting that he has not received any requests to step down from his leadership role.

This statement comes at a time when his wife, Anita Annet Among, a Member of Parliament for Bukedea district, has withdrawn her ambition for a second term as Speaker of Parliament, reportedly due to political pressures.

Magogo made these remarks while attending a celebratory event for the national U-17 men’s team, the Cubs, at the Sheraton Hotel. The team was being feted for their successful qualification for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

During his address, Magogo touched upon some of FUFA’s recent achievements and expressed gratitude to the government for its financial support over the years. He also acknowledged the media.

“Tebabatisatisa (don’t be afraid). No one has called me to resign. I am still here and we have work to do,” Magogo, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Budiope East constituency, declared, seemingly unfazed by the swirling rumors.

His comments indicate a determination to continue his work with FUFA, regardless of the external political climate that has reportedly impacted his family.
