One Ummah Uganda, the local chapter of the international One Ummah charity network, is significantly expanding its reach and impact across Uganda. The organization is intensifying its humanitarian efforts through a multi-faceted approach, aiming to address the fundamental needs of vulnerable communities.
Through the implementation of Islamic social welfare principles, including Zakat and Sadaqah, One Ummah Uganda provides essential aid. Their work encompasses a broad spectrum of support, from immediate relief to long-term development projects. This includes vital food distribution programs, the drilling of water boreholes to ensure access to clean water, sponsoring orphans to provide them with stability and education, and the construction of mosques.
Shania Kigozi, the Country Director, emphasized during a recent television appearance that the organization’s commitment extends to all individuals in need, irrespective of their religious or social background. The core mission is to restore dignity and foster sustainable improvements in the livelihoods of the people they serve.
“From distributing food to drilling water wells, from sponsoring orphans to building mosques, One Ummah Uganda continues to prove that compassion knows no borders,” Kigozi stated. The organization relies on the generosity of donors and the dedication of its staff and volunteers to achieve its goals.
One Ummah Uganda remains steadfast in its mission, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of Ugandans and seeking to serve humanity through their impactful initiatives.
