Ecobank Uganda recently held a special farewell dinner to honor two of its key leaders: outgoing Board Chairperson Richard Munanyeza and outgoing Board Director Fatuma Sentongo Nagawa.
The event, held at the Grand Ballroom of Four Points by Sheraton Kampala, brought together a distinguished gathering of board members, senior management, employees, regulators, customers, and business partners. The occasion served to celebrate the invaluable contributions and distinguished leadership that Munanyeza and Nagawa have provided, significantly shaping Ecobank Uganda into a leading financial institution.
During his tenure, Richard Munanyeza provided strategic direction that bolstered the bank’s governance framework, enhanced its resilience, and reinforced its long-term growth trajectory. His stewardship guided Ecobank Uganda through a period of considerable expansion, innovation, and deepened customer engagement, all while upholding high standards of accountability.
Fatuma Sentongo Nagawa also played a crucial role in strengthening board oversight. Her strategic insights and professional expertise were instrumental in supporting the bank’s continuous progress and ensuring institutional stability.
Both outgoing leaders expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
