A manipulated video circulating online, purporting to show a scuffle between prominent National Unity Platform (NUP) figures David Lewis Rubongoya and lawyer Medard Lubega Sseggona, has been declared false by fact-checkers. The video, which gained traction on social media platforms, has been conclusively identified as an artificial intelligence (AI) creation.

Rigorous analysis of the footage revealed several tell-tale signs of digital manipulation. These included unnatural body movements, distorted facial expressions, and inconsistencies in the background and attire of the individuals portrayed. Such anomalies are characteristic of AI-generated content designed to deceive viewers.

The deceptive video appears to have been created by overlaying AI-generated elements onto a photograph previously published by Nile Post. This technique attempts to lend credibility to the fabricated narrative by using existing media as a base.

There is currently no independent or credible evidence to support the claim that Rubongoya and Sseggona were involved in any real-world confrontation as depicted in the video. The NUP Secretary General and the lawyer have not been reported to be in any such dispute.

Fact-checkers have rated the claim as thoroughly FALSE, emphasizing that the circulating video is a product of sophisticated AI technology and does not represent a genuine event. Viewers are advised to exercise caution and verify information from reliable sources.
