General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son of President Yoweri Museveni, has officiated at the unveiling of a monument in Entebbe to Yoni Netanyahu. The monument serves as a tribute to Netanyahu, who tragically lost his life during the 1976 Entebbe raid, an operation he led.
The ceremony, held at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), underscores a deepening relationship between Uganda and Israel. Yoni Netanyahu was a decorated Israeli soldier and a hero of the famed counter-terrorist operation that rescued Israeli hostages from Entebbe Airport.
