School uniforms serve as a crucial element of a learning institution’s identity, establishing a sense of belonging and order. However, the practicalities of maintaining these uniforms can sometimes lead to unexpected changes, as observed by the author who experienced shifts in uniform color due to market availability and fading fabrics during their A-level studies.
The notion of students having a say in their school uniform design is presented as problematic. The author questions the logistical nightmare this could create for school administrations, particularly regarding procurement and consistency.
