Kampala, Uganda – The inaugural Miss Universe Uganda Grand Finale has crowned its first-ever queen, marking a significant milestone for the country’s beauty pageant scene. Mitchelle Daka emerged victorious, captivating the audience and judges alike at the prestigious event held at the Imperial Royale Hotel.
The historic occasion saw Daka not only win the coveted Miss Universe Uganda title but also clinch the ‘Face of V&A’ award. This dual recognition underscores her remarkable poise and appeal throughout the competition.
Attendees at the black-tie gala were treated to a V&A Sherry cocktail experience, embodying the brand’s “Yours to Share” philosophy. The evening featured vibrant performances by notable Ugandan artists, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
As Miss Universe Uganda, Daka received substantial prizes, including Shs24 million and a Toyota Wish, and will now represent Uganda on the global Miss Universe stage. First runner-up Kimberly Jael Aremo will compete at Miss Africa, while Bridget Katungi earned a spot at Miss Face of Tourism.
Several other contestants were recognized with special awards, including Multimedia Queen (Mitchelle Daka), People’s Choice (Kimberly Jael Aremo), and Miss Personality (Nabuzaale Elina), among others. The pageant aims to provide a platform for young women to showcase their confidence, talent, and leadership qualities.
