Ntare School, a renowned institution in Uganda, recently celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of academic achievement and the cultivation of influential leaders across East Africa.

The milestone event brought together hundreds of alumni, educators, government officials, and development partners. The occasion served as a platform to honor the school’s legacy and to strategize for its future growth and continued impact.

Current headteacher Saul Rwampororo emphasized that the anniversary is more than just a historical commemoration. “This anniversary is about reconnection and shared purpose,” Rwampororo stated, highlighting the importance of engaging past and present stakeholders to shape the school’s next chapter. He reiterated the school’s enduring commitment to its core values of discipline, integrity, and service.

The anniversary provided a crucial opportunity to foster stronger partnerships aimed at advancing infrastructure development, enhancing mentorship programs, and improving learning experiences for current and future students.

The Ntare School Old Boys Association (NSOBA) played a significant role, with chairman Apollo Kashanku calling on alumni to invest in the institution that significantly contributed to their personal and professional journeys. He underscored the dual purpose of the celebration: to reminisce about past successes and to reaffirm a collective commitment to the school’s ongoing progress.

Over the years, Ntare School has established itself as a premier learning center, with notable alumni including Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and former Rwandan President Paul Kagame. The school’s influence is evident in the diverse fields its graduates have excelled in, including politics, medicine, engineering, academia, and entrepreneurship.

With its guiding motto, “Better Your Best,” Ntare School aims to inspire its students and alumni to continue striving for excellence and upholding the values that have cemented its reputation as a leading educational institution in the region.
