Lil Pazzo: Kenzo, Bebe Cool, Chameleone Remain Uganda's Music Kings, Not King Saha

Musician Lil Pazzo has stirred debate by challenging the idea that King Saha has become the dominant force in Uganda’s music scene. Pazzo maintains that the established trio of Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, and Jose Chameleone continue to hold sway over the industry.

While acknowledging the significant turnout for King Saha’s recent concert at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, Lil Pazzo argued that a single successful event does not equate to industry supremacy. He suggested that Saha, despite his efforts and growing popularity, has not yet reached the level of the veteran artists.

According to Pazzo, the success of King Saha’s concert was partly due to external influences, which he broadly termed as ‘politics.’ He implied that this factor, rather than solely his musical prowess, contributed to the large crowds.

Pazzo’s statements come amidst an ongoing discussion among Ugandan music enthusiasts about the current hierarchy of artists. King Saha has seen a notable rise in his career, with his latest concert being a significant marker of his contemporary standing.

However, Pazzo remains firm in his assessment, stating that King Saha still has considerable ground to cover before he can be considered in the same league as Uganda’s long-standing music giants. The rapper’s comments are likely to add fuel to the ongoing discourse about who truly leads the Ugandan music landscape.
