Museveni and Janet Host Evangelist Osborn Ahead of Daughter's Bishop Consecration

President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni recently hosted international evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna C. Osborn at State House Entebbe. This significant meeting is a prelude to the upcoming consecration of their daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, who will be elevated to the position of Episcopal Bishop.

The presence of First Lady Janet Museveni, who also serves as the Minister of Education and Sports, at this public event is noteworthy. Following a period of illness and speculation about her health, which saw her miss President Museveni’s recent swearing-in ceremony, her appearance signifies a gradual return to official state duties.

During the gathering, President Museveni shared on his X account the historical spiritual connection between the Osborn ministry and Uganda, a relationship spanning nearly four decades. Bishop Osborn recalled her first visit to Uganda in 1985 with her late mother, who ministered to Ugandans during a challenging time in the nation’s history.

First Lady Janet Museveni also expressed her sentiments on X, highlighting the deep nostalgia of the reunion. She fondly remembered Dr. Osborn’s mother praying with their family and gifting their children their first Bibles and books. The First Lady offered prayers for Pastor Patience’s upcoming consecration, scheduled for August 23rd, seeking divine guidance and strength for her daughter’s new role.

The consecration ceremony for Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, leader of the Covenant Nations Church, is anticipated to draw prominent spiritual leaders from around the world.
