East Africa Pastors to Convene for Conference on Refugee and Community Support

Pastors and other Christian leaders from Uganda and across East Africa are set to gather in Kampala for a significant conference focused on both spiritual enrichment and the crucial support of vulnerable communities. The 3rd East Africa Fire and Anointing Pastors Conference, scheduled for August 24-25, 2026, aims to highlight humanitarian initiatives aimed at those affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Organized by Heal The Planet Global Organisation, with funding from Breath of the Spirit Ministries and Chesed International Charity, the event is designed to be more than just a spiritual retreat. Dr. Earnest Benjamin Kivumbi of Heal The Planet Global Organisation emphasized that the conference serves as a platform for leaders to pray, learn from each other, and enhance their ministries’ impact on the communities they serve.

Previous humanitarian efforts by the participating ministries have included providing medical supplies, food, and clothing to various vulnerable groups. These initiatives have notably reached refugee settlements like Nakivale, Bidibidi, and Imvepi, as well as conducting medical outreach programs in underserved areas. This focus on tangible aid underscores the organizers’ commitment to addressing the practical needs of those in distress.

The conference will be held at the Sharing Youth Centre in Nsambya. The agenda includes prayer, discussions on Christian ministry, leadership development, and spiritual empowerment, alongside opportunities for networking and sharing experiences among regional church leaders. Preparations have been made to accommodate delegates traveling from various parts of East Africa, ensuring a robust and collaborative environment.

The humanitarian aspect is deeply interwoven with the work of Breath of the Spirit Ministries and Chesed International Charity, organizations that have a track record of assisting communities impacted by crises.
