President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently received a delegation from Tanzania at State House in Entebbe. The meeting, held on Monday, August 24, 2026, saw the Ugandan leader engage in discussions with Mr. Abdulhalim Hafidh Ameir, who led the visiting group.
Mr. Ameir, the son of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, was accompanied by other delegates including Mr. George Nkya, Mr. Amal Garang, and Mr. Mundhir Mohammed Nassor. The primary focus of their deliberations was on matters of significant mutual interest between the two East African nations.
Discussions also encompassed potential areas for deepened cooperation, aiming to fortify the existing bilateral relations between Uganda and Tanzania. Furthermore, the participants explored strategies to foster regional development and stability.
